Our historic railway re-opened on 3rd May 2009 at its new Skegness location, some 24 years since the last train ran on the old LCLR at Humberston near Cleethorpes.

A regular service of trains will operate on the dates below from our new Lakeview station between 1100 and 1540.

Fares will be £1 per return journey, children under three go free.

LCLR 50 - Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th September 2010. - A gala weekend to celebrate 50 years since the opening of the original LCLR at Humberston. We will be running a demonstration WD train (see photo on ABOUT US page), with WD Simplex, restored ambulance van and Class D bogie wagon. There will also be guided tours of our collection. This includes 5 Simplex diesels, Peckett 0-6-0 "Jurassic", the only passenger coach from the Nocton potato railway, Sand Hutton coach and the LCLRHVT collection of WD trench railway vehicles.

Special LCLR50 tickets at £3 give access to shed guided tours and train travel - normal price available for train travel only.

Please note that the LCLR will endeavour to run a train service on these dates so far as circumstances permit. Wherever possible any foreseeable change to our operating days will be published on this webpage.

Following a successful first summer of operation we would like to increase the number of days we open to the public in future years, but we do need more volunteer help to do so.
